Once upon a time in Singapore, there lived a happy couple, Mr & Mrs Ng with their 3 lovely triplet daughters; Elaine, Ena & Ella. The 3 daughters were brought up in a prim-and-proper fashion and when they reached 20, their parents thought it was time to get them married. So, the parents found them the most suitable " leng chais". They got married and were preparing to set-off on their honeymoon. Mr & Mrs Ng got the first letter. It was from Elaine. They opened the letter & found the word "STANDARD CHARTERED". They immediately took the newspaper & looked for the Standard Chartered advertisement. "Ah! here it is!", exclaimed Mr. Ng. The motto for Standard Chartered was.... "BIG, STRONG & FRIENDLY" Mr & Mrs Ng were happy. A week later, they got another letter. This time it was from Ena. The content was simple. "NESCAFE". So, again they took the neswpaper & looked for the Nescafe ad. "Ah! here it is. "NESCAFE: PLEASURE TILL THE LAST DROP". Again, Mr & Mrs Ng beamed with joy. Another week passed... A month passed... And another... There was still no letter from Ella. The Ngs became worried. Finally, the letter came. It was scribbled & could hardly be read, but Mrs. Ng managed to figure it out. The code-name was "SINGAPORE AIRLINES". Why Singapore Airlines? Mr. Ng rushed to the nearest store & got a newspaper. He flipped the pages frantically. "Ah! Here it is!" Mrs. Ng grabbed the page & read aloud. Before she could finish. THUMP!!!...she fell off her chair. The motto was..."7 TIMES A WEEK. 4 TO 6 TIMES A DAY. NON-STOP." hahahahha!!!!! Terrible!

你之所以還沒有戀人，理由很明顯，那就是你懷有戀人是「自然就有」的消極想法。

確實，看見周遭朋友都有戀人，或許會令人產生那些人「都很自然地就有」戀人，卻只有自己抱著「不能自然就有」的想法。但是，戀人其實並不是「自然就有」的，而是「找出來」的。當然並不是說一定不會發生某人在某個時候被某人看上，而自然產生戀情的可能。

然而，即使是在這種情況下，我們仔細注意一下，也會發現為了被某人愛上，其實某種程度的努力仍是必要的。也就是說，之所以能「自然就有」戀人，是因為做了某種程度的努力的緣故。你曾做了這樣的努力嗎? 如果，不做這些努力，而只是一味地等待，那麼，等得再久，也都是徒然。當你發現了自己想要的東西時，應該會為了得到它而做相當程度的努力。如果是用金錢可以買得到的，應該就會努力去存筆錢吧!如果是想要取得什麼證書或執照，也一定會為取得這個資格而做各種努力吧！

戀人也是一樣。想要擁有優秀的戀人，就應該更努力才行。為了戀人所做努力，基本上可以分為兩類。其是為讓自己成為富有魅力的人的努力。只要你能夠成為有魅力的人，則一定上會出現一兩個戀人的。所謂有魅力的人，一般而言，女性的話就是美女，男性的話就是好男子，然而，也未必只有這些才叫做魅力。在其他方面，如果擁有和其他人不同的特長，則也一定會吸引他人的眼光，奪得他人的心。將這些特長加諸己身，亦即成為有魅力的人，也須做相當的努力。

其二是尋找戀人的努力。在自己現有生活的世裏找不到戀人的話，就要到別的世界去找的這一點很重要。亦即，努力擴大自己的生活圈，換句話說，也就是擴大交際圍。如果老將自己關在象牙塔里，卻一味地發牢騷說找不到戀人，不做任何努力，卻想要得到自己想要的東西，則不管等到何時都不可能會有戀人的。

首先，要先為增加非戀人的異性朋友或知己而努力。在沒有異性朋友或知己的情況，或是找不到增加異性朋友的情況下，則可以建立或增加擁有異性朋友的同性朋友，如此一來，異性朋友或知己就會自然而然地增加了。當然，或許也有人特別為建立或增加同性朋友而努力，然而這種力，也不得不被認為是獲得戀人的必要努力。假若無法輕易地建立或增加這類朋友時，那麼參加學校、公司或社區所舉辦的社團或各類進修程，也不失為一個好方法。隨著參加這類可為許多男女修橋一起的團體，不但能增加朋友、吸取新知，慢慢地自己的生活圈及社交? 圍也會逐漸拓展。

另外，在目前的生活圈及社交際圍中雖然也有許多異性朋友，但卻沒有戀人的人，則也 有可能即使更拓寬這些?圍，也仍舊找不到戀人。這一類人不管生活？圍如何地拓寬，可能 結果都是一樣。如果你是屬於這一類，那麼八成是你對戀人所抱持的想法或態度錯誤之故。

戀人並非一開始就是戀人，而是一開始皆以普通朋友來交往，接著經由交往，使彼此更加瞭解對方，然後逐漸發展成為愛情。戀愛就是這麼產生的。斷定自己的周圍沒有半個像樣的異性的人，與其說是自己條件太好，還不如說是因為你太不用心、沒去留意之故放開自己的心胸，眼光多望向朋友的優點上，如此一來，對方也一定會與你的目光相呼應，眼裏看到的也都會是你的優點了。
